In a short span, SDJ Ayurvedalaya has gained international acclaim, serving patients worldwide while preserving the centuries-old Ayurveda tradition in its purest form
Founder & Guru
Sri Swami Dayananda Saraswati founded SDJ Ayurvedalaya in 2014 under the Sruti Seva Trust. A distinguished Vedanta teacher, Swamiji adeptly bridged Eastern and Western cultures, communicating the vision of non-duality with clarity.
For over five decades in India and since 1976 globally, Swamiji taught Vedanta. He addressed prestigious universities, international conventions, UNESCO, and the United Nations. Swami Dayananda designed and taught seven intensive Vedanta courses, graduating many qualified teachers who now teach worldwide.
Under his guidance, numerous Vedic teaching centers were founded, including Arsha Vidya Pitham in Rishikesh, Arsha Vidya Gurukulam in Coimbatore, Arsha Vijnana Gurukulam in Nagpur, and Arsha Vidya Gurukulam in Saylorsburg, Pennsylvania.
Beyond teaching, Swamiji supported philanthropic efforts such as AIM for Seva and the Acharya Sabha, promoting education, culture, health, and the arts. He convened the first World Congress for the Preservation of Religious Diversity and participated in the Women's Global Peace Initiative at the UN.
Swamiji attained Mahasamadhi in Rishikesh on September 23, 2015. Posthumously, he was awarded the Padma Bhushan on January 25, 2016, for his exemplary service to spiritualism.
